Very disappointed!

Just ordered this ultra heavy set and got them in the mail today. When tuning the low .074 up to pitch it basically unwound itself. Very hesitant to ever try these strings ever again.

Decent strings, shame about the taper

Love these strings and all of the progressive tension range, last long and sound great, but as some others have said for this specific product, the taper length is insufficient to fit into a locking tuner properly without either filing the tuner out or having your 7th string wrapped around the tuning peg like on a standard tuner, would love to see these strings with a longer taper that lets them work with my legator multiscale

Switched from StringJoy

These were close to a custom SJ set I was using. Initial thoughts are they are clear toned and have the tension specified. Definitely leave a bit more dark rub off initially but nothing a good cleaning doesn’t fix. Cost of 3 packs with free shipping makes them a great option. This was my first time using the PG strings coming from NYXL then StringJoy but I will likely move to them for my other two 6 strings.

Where’s the bass strings at?

I've tried a bunch of 7-string sets for my PRS SE SVN Holcomb. Because the scale length is shorter, and I like doing drop tunings Bb and below, a lot of sets just don't have enough tension on the bottom and too much tension on the top. This set seemed to fix the problem.

One request I would make is to have sets of these available in some larger guages as well. I found on my Holcomb that drop G is pretty much the lowest you can go before running into problems. Something to take me down to drop F or even drop Eb would be great to have available.

Quality Strings

Sound amazing. 7 string (25.5 scale length) holding drop G# nicely with these.
